Invertebrates (also known as 'minibeasts') is an animal without a spine. Most creatures on Earth are invertebrates. Scientists think 95% of all creatures are invertebrates. The other 5% of animals are known as vertebrates, and these include fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds and mammals (including us!)
Invertebrates are great to study because they are so different to us. And also, they are small enough for us to find!
